Description
The Original
Incarnation by Robin Rivers, an original mixed-media collage is created using vintage papers, handmade papers, stamps, recycled craft flowers, vintage postage stamps, and matte medium on paper.
It measures 8.5 x 11. I will ship this piece flat to ensure no creasing occurs. Please note that colours and contrast vary between different monitors. The colours of the print may not match your monitor’s display exactly. Additionally, copyright of my artwork does not transfer with purchase.
The Inspiration for Incarnation by Robin Rivers
My dad was a bit of a wizard with flowers. He could make anything bloom and kept a most meticulous garden. In the midst of losing him in April, I created Incarnation to capture that bit of magic.
The Artist
Robin Rivers is a multidisciplinary storyteller, exploring the nature of time through memory, myth, and magic. Her work often includes her original photography, handmade papers, ephemera collected on her travels, and retellings of old stories; and is deeply influenced by her Polish and French roots. Robin creates all pieces at Studio Albertine in Vancouver, Canada—on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. This includes the territories of the xÊ·məθkwÉ™y̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and SÉ™lÌ“ÃlwÉ™taÊ”/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
