Bad-Ass Women of Historical Fiction

Historical fiction authors are a close-knit bunch.

I’m back after a long quiet period while I finished working with editors to get my novel ready for agents.

This emergence from the writing cave could not have kicked off better than a recent evening with three of my favourite writers touring here in Vancouver.

I am forever grateful that my literary network has created wonderful friends such as author Janie Chang, project colleagues including Jennifer Robson, and opportunities to meet genre greats such as Kate Quinn.

Having women like this to model my work after and learn from is so important. I love watching their careers blossom. All three are truly talented and full of lifetimes of amazing stories.

Historical Fiction Authors In Action

The evening at Book Warehouse on Main Street proved fun, insightful and inspiring. Kate signed her new novel – The Alice Network – for me and offered supportive advice for my own projects. It was lovely to listen to Jennifer’s stories about her grandmother that inspired her new novel – Goodnight From London.

And congratulations Janie for Dragon Springs Road launching you into the Best-selling author category of writers.
