Zlota Baba Limited Edition Prints by Robin Rivers are archival prints of an original mixed-media collage created using photography, handmade papers, vellum, inks, and matte medium on paper. 

The prints meansure 8.5×11. I will ship this piece flat to ensure no creasing occurs.  Please note that colours and contrast vary between different monitors.  The colours of the print may not match your monitor’s display exactly. The Inspiration for Zlota Baba by Robin Rivers

Zlota Baba is a legendary oracle in Polish and Slavic myth thought to take the form of a golden woman. Its legend as a bringer of wealth and its ability to extract offerings from those crossing its path was so widely known in the ancient world that it appears on maps thousands of years old despite contradictory accounts. Zlata Baba illuminates connections between the human world and the cyclic ways of the universe.

The Artist

Robin Rivers is a multidisciplinary storyteller. She explores cultural memory keeping and technologies of circulation—how stories and images travel between people and across generations. Her practice folds writing and original photography into my mixed-media collage process. She examines how documented archives and personal interpretation shape our shared understanding of the past and how preservation itself is shaped by power, privilege, and historical upheaval. Robin creates all pieces at Studio Albertine in Vancouver, Canada—on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. This includes the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
